I recently had my car repaired at Yire Automotive, I was impressed from the start with how well Walter runs this business.
After I was referred to Yire from a buddy of mine I called after hours and left a message expressing interest in bringing my Toyota in to be serviced and I stated that the car was running very rough at idle and also that when I had the timing belt replaced at the dealership they told me I needed to replace the thermostat. The next day at 9am Walter called me and urged me to bring the car in. I brought the car in that afternoon. The next morning Walter called me and said that he could not find anything wrong with my car other than the thermostat but he said I should come by and drive it with him to show him what I described. So I came in and together we drove around town for 15 minutes until I was able to point out what the car was doing. Before we even got back to the shop he pointed out what he thought needed to be fixed. I was very impressed with Walter's automotive knowledge and especially at the level of customer service I recieved, I have had good and bad experiences at well over 20 different automotive shops from Seattle to Tacoma and this is hands down the best experience I have ever had at any of them. To top it off I ended up paying nearly $150 less than what Renton Toyota had quoted me and they were only going to replace the thermostat.
Walter has definitely earned my business.

I've been impressed with the integrity and consistency of service I get every time I visit Yire, whether it be for a minor repair or major one. They are direct, honest, timely with when they tell you your vehicle will be ready, and have never overcharged me a dime beyond their quoted price for repairs. They've also saved me money by confirming that repairs Burien Chevrolet told me my vehicle needed, were not actually needed. Obviously I was smart enough to get a second opinion, thankfully! Now I can avoid being swindled by Burien Chevrolet's service department - which they've tried on me EVERY time I've gone there. Having selected Yire as my regular mechanic after they've worked on 3 different vehicles for me, I feel completely confident that I'm getting a quality service at a very competitive price, and the people there are competent and take pride in their work.

Ive never had a major problem with my car to the point where I needed to go to a mechanic. Its intimidating for me because of the possibility of being taken advantage of. I was recommended here by a coworker. He told me to ask for Walter, the owner. I am very happy and satisfied! My VW Jetta needed a new clutch baaaad! I called around to multiple places for quotes and they were astronomical. I called Yire and got a great quote for the job, Walter told me to come in and I dropped my car off. The next day it was ready. Very friendly and honestly. I will be returning!!

This is an excellent repair shop! You could not go wrong taking your vehicle to Yire. I know, I have been using Yire for repair of my two diesel Jeep Liberties for the last two years. Most recently yire performed a 100,000 mile service replacement of a timing belt and water pump (a major and expensive required service). Walter, the owner went over every replacement part with me after going to great effort to obtain all parts from Chrysler. He was incredibly thorough and organized in this project. Price was very reasonable (I had obtained bids for this job from two Chrysler dealerships) and the job was done on time, Honesty, integrity, friendliness, are all five star. A great place to take your vehicle. Great service from Walter, the owner. I was introduced to this place by a neighbor and I will be continuing to use Yire when I need. Very fair and honest and very, very reasonable prices. The whole process of taking my car in, getting the service needed and payment was great.

We went in here thinking we needed a new engine (per our other mechanic) and told him so. He was completely honest and told us we only needed a few little parts fixed. It was less then $100. He could have told us we needed a new engine and made a ton of money but he is so honest! He even did a oil change for free. He takes great care of our cars (mercedes and honda) and is reasonably priced and very honest. We are so blessed to have found this place!

Excellent Service

We have been going to Yire Auto for several years now and they provide exceptional service at very reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and will call you with the diagnosis of your car BEFORE they do any work. They also give you estimates AND alternatives. Yire Auto is local and they have repeat customers for a reason - nobody goes back to a place where they are not treated right. You can be guaranteed to be treated right at Yire Auto!
