Where to begin? Mr. Chen of Smart Auto Service, or master Chen as I called him, is really good at what he does. Honest, soft speaking, and really skillful are the words I could describe when I brought my car in for a power steering leakage. Another shop told me that the power steering pump is failing and quoted me over $500 for fixing it. Master Chen checked it quickly and told me there were just some leakage on the hoses and should be a very straightforward quick fix. After less than two hours I returned to the shop, the car was done. Master Chen showed me the replacements and also told me he cleaned up the mess from the previous leak. He also checked brakes, fluids and other stuff for me just to be sure the car is out of the shop in a great shape. I own my car for almost 10 years and still love driving it everyday. And master Chen just showed me the professional work skill, the care for his customers and genuine passion as a car enthusiast. He earned a lifetime customer today as long as his shop is open.

Replaced my 1992 Integra distributor here.
My car stopped it's engine every 8 to 10 minutes while running on the road. I had to fix it before more problems occurred. I brought my car and a new distributor I bought from ebay. Lin took a look at it and replaced it in 35 minutes.
I am obviously coming here again. Very trust worthy and reasonable price.

We were traveling from Los Angeles to Newport Oregon when we had a flat on the 101 and we're fortunate enough to find Smart Auto Service close by. Mingzhi Chen helped us late on a Friday afternoon get a new tire at a great price and even checked the car out to make sure everything is good for continuing on our trip. It was great to find an honest mechanic on the road.

I've been visiting here for 2 years, fixed/maintained my super old bug before and now get my newly bought Mazada maintained there. Have recommended this places to many of my frends. I trust Mingzhi
I want to find some place cheaper but also good service. I used to visit another mechanics (a Vietnamese store) for 3-4 time. But honestly not pleasant experience (didn't' fix my problem, and even didn't check my other tyres after I changed two new types. which made me run on highway with a almost flat tyre, also he overcharged) So I decide to change a mechanics. I learned this place from a friend. Not only Mingzhi probably provides the lowest price, but also he really tries his best to help me. I appreciate his service and think I should write something on yelp :)

My car's oxygen sensor went wrong and I go to Smart Auto to find Master CHEN. He gave me very warm-hearted help with 10-year car repairing experience.
Meanwhile, Smart Auto is giving almost the best service with low to reasonable price compared with other companies around bay area.
Will definitely recommend and introduce more of my friends and colleagues to find Master CHEN. :)

Mingzhi is a honest and skillful mechanic, his price is very reasonable. I come here with regular oil changes and 60/90K maintains with my Camry and MDX. Mingzhi always do a great job with my service and he also do a lot the little extra stuff to appreciate his customers for free. Mingzhi is awesome. He is a skilled mechanic with the best prices around, but more importantly, he is a good guy. Although I like to work on my car and do some things myself, he is my go-to guy for everything else. He keeps people coming back by doing great work and not overcharging them.
I sometimes talk with his other customers when he's working on my car and they all have such praise for him too. If you're looking for an honest mechanic, just go in and talk to him, and you'll know what I mean right away.

Best auto place ever! I have known Mike for about 6years. He is such a talent auto mechanic. I go to him whenever I get a car problem. And he can always fix it right away. I highly recommend him because he is the one you can trust. Btw He always charges less but does more!

Mingzhi is very knowledgeable and honest. His price is very competitive if not cheapest in town. The only drawback is his garage is located in a hidden corner, you need a GPS to find the place. This also means he earns business only through referrals. I will definitely come back again in the future.
