Tony, Tony, Tony...What the heck happened to your business??? You did a horrible job on my front window. I came back to your shop and you had to take off the piece of tint at the top of the windshield and all the glue washed in steaks down the whole inside of the windshield. How in the hell could you return a car in such deplorable condition to a faithful customer??????? I called you up to tell you what happened and you started screaming at me to bring the car back in. Are you kidding me??? No freaking way was I going to bring my brank new VW back for some more torture from your hands. You have no business being in business anymore. Please do us all who want a good tint job and retire. You have lost any ability that you used to have. I own my own business and every client is very important to me. I would never turn away a dissatisfied client. From now on...I am reading reviews like the one below mine "not worthy". People, if you want a good tint job, please take my word for it and do not go see Tony at SolarTeck in Schenectady, NY because he lost his ability to tint windows. I have proof. He ruined my brand new 2015 VW Windshield.

not worthy

I had my car done a couple month ago. He acted rushed and distracted. He got tints on said i was allset. A week later multiple micro spots where tint didnt adhear on every window very noticable. So i calle in on the warranty, my apt at noon finally 3 pm car iis in. I watched again seemed rushed. After he said allset but i noticed while doing my car he was checking on anouther and would fix any bubbles. Not once on either occasion did he do that. Now this tint job looks must worse then th first. He blamed the age of the car bu you can clearly see its dirt in some spots and other its becaus he didnt fix them befor i left. He doesnt do his work with pride wont warranty this job certaintly not worth the money. I also had my front dr.n pas windows an windsheild replaced befor the first tint job so its not the windows. Very embarrassing when people notice all th bubbles first before the rust onthe door.

This is the fourth vehicle that I used Solartech for tint work and once again they did a fantastic job! They booked my appointment the same day that I called which was awesome. The price was definitely right. If it wasn't I wouldn't keep going back. I also like the great customer service. They treated my car with extreme care and even let me watch the whole process. I would highly recommend!

He's is a horrible worker he does a bad job on window tants he sucks at everything he does!!! I hope he loses his business I put that on my mother he did my window tinting he fucked it all up thier was bubbles in my shit and everything!!! The tant king place in Albany is way better! And he even smokes marijuana in the shop. and hes pays the people $8 when minimum wage Is $9!!!! And he pays people under the table every day to and that's illegal !!!

I have had cars tinted there in the past but will never go back here again. Not only did he not clean the glass and there are tiny dirt particles stuck between the glass and the tint leaving a bubble effect but has made an appointment 2x to fix it, the first time asking me to come back the following week because he had "overbooked" his schedule and the second time was today when he didn't even bother to show up. What a fucking joke!!! I will be taking my car somewhere else to have it fixed and he will be getting the bill or I WILL SUE HIM FOR THE COST OF THE NEW TINT. This looks like it was done in my driveway. Wtf!!!

I got a 2002 Nissan truck tinted here in 2002. It's been 10 YEARS and the tint has barely shown any wear. The color has faded a little bit from it but it isn't bad after 10 years. There was never a bubble to begin with, and there are no bubbles now. Over the past 10 years I have had 2 other vehicles tinted at different shops and the work compared to Solartech was sub-par. In fact, one of my reviews on yelp is of another tint shop that charged me 3x what Solartech charged me and he left all sorts of bubbles. When I asked him about the bubbles he said "nothin' I can do about that". If Solartech is still providing the same level of service they were 10 years ago, this place is solid and highly recommended. Shout out to RJ for putting me onto this place.

Avoid SolarTech like the plague. The bottom two lines on my rear window defroster no longer worked after Anthony cut them. Horribly shoddy work and terrible customer service to boot.
The Bottom Line: One of the few businesses I have been genuinely ripped off by.

My husband and I believe in supporting our neighborhood business establishments. He went to solar tech and had a auto start put in his jeep. Didn't work right from the start. Sometimes it would work sometimes it wouldn't work. He did bring it back and go there at least 4 times. This last time the man he spoke to didn't know a thing about them and said his guy would call. We waited another week for a call and of course it never came. Went over to Boomer McCloud and they diagnosed and fixed the problem. The software needed updating. No problems since. Bottom line I would not recommend them to anyone.

I'm only adding this place to say how horrible it is. Please do not go here. They do cheap tinting and I think that's the only way they stay in business. I made the mistake of taking my car here years ago because they were running a special and I didn't know any better. Wasn't really that pleased at first with the job they did but it wasn't horrible. After a few years the back windshield was full of bubbles. Since they guarantee their work I brought it back. I specifically asked them if there would be any problems ripping it off and redoing it and they said no. Now my rear defroster doesn't work except for 1 thin line in the middle. I would have rather kept the bubble filled stuff on. At least I could see out the back.
