I have been taking my 2000 Olds Bravada to Trans Plus since the warranty expired. Even before that, I took an 88 Blazer there and to The Firestone where Danny, the Trans Plus manger worked before. They are honest and the best at fixing issues. Even though I moved to Torrance in 2009, I still make the drive to Long Beach for car maintenance and repair.
One example of their wizardry is when my back gate would not unlock. On the Bravada, the back gate only locks/unlocks from the key remote. It turned out the wiring harness from front to back had cracked in half from 10+ years of opening the back and the part was discontinued. Trans Plus made a new harness for me. It was nice to be able to open the back again.

Thank you Trans Plus! I have a 1963 Cadillac that needed some special extra love and attention and Danny & Steve hooked me up. They were extremely helpful in getting my classic to run smooth again! I'm going to need some engine work soon and I'm definitely doing it here. I've shopped around and my confidence is high that the guys at Trans Plus are the best-suited mechanics to do the work right the first time! Love this place and am so happy they are located in Long Beach!

I really liked that they explained all the work prior and also talked about the bill afterwards, and gave suggestions for extra optional maintenance. I was able to decline if I felt something wasn't necessary or I'd rather take care of myself. Not pushy mechanics at all, very nice and helpful. If you support your local barber, bartender, barista, support your local car mechanic.

This is the best place I've taken my car to in recent memory. It was fast, I could tell they were honest, and they were really nice. One day, after I had gotten my car back, I was walking past the shop and Danny (pretty sure that's his name) came out to ask me how my car was running. I feel like I got a really good deal on my diagnostic and repair, and if I ever need something else for my car, I'm bringing it back here.

I have been coming here for the past 3 years and could not recommend them more. It's hard to find an auto repair company that you can trust. Danny is always very honest and will break down repairs that need to get done immediately and repairs that can wait. I was recommended to them by a coworker. Knowing nothing about cars, before finding Trans Plus, I always felt uneasy when I had to make a visit to an auto repair place, like I was being taken advantage of. Not the case any more. As long as I live in Long Beach, I will take my car to Trans Plus.

They were very rude to me. Interrupted me. Wouldn't explain things. After I dropped my car off for electrical work they called me and said, "We'll need to rewire the car and charge by the hour." That sounded fishy to me. I said I'll just get a second opinion. "But you already paid to have it checked out!" The guy said, sounding scared. "I know" I replied. "We'll call you back" he said. Well, what do you know, they call back and say, "Oh, a wire was unplugged in the back. Good thing we found it." Ha, good thing I said I'd get a second opinion. Don't trust these guys, they will rip you off if they can get away with it. I posted a review before, but that was a year ago. Noticed all the reviews are new even though they've been around for a long time? Not a coincidence.

Worst Customer Service! In per...
Worst Customer Service! In person and over the phone you can't get a straight answer from them. $90 dollars to change a front bulb on a 1998 Toyota that only cost $5 at Auto Zone.I did it my self, it took only 15min, he had stated they had to remove the battery to install it and that would take a few hours! This is the kind of mechanic shop that wants to take your money and leave you dry. Beware- don't go here. Look elsewhere.

I followed 'Danny' from his prior place of employment for his 'customer service'. Since I took my business to Trans Plus, Danny has continued his exceptional customer awareness and needs. The 'working crew' is right there and have always completed their work on my cars. The exceptional qualtiy work, the all important 'turn-time', honesty in what your vehicle needs are, and the overall attitudes of everyone allows me to 'rest assured' my car is in good hands. I have personally never had to bring my car 'back-in' for corrective work. I would recommend 'Trans Plus' to anyone that wants good automotive mechanical work at a fair price.

I feel they are well qualified, thorough and reasonably priced. Serviced 2 of my cars in one day and did get a report on one for a potential problem. What I liked is they showed it to me, explained it and told me the symptoms to watch out for so I know if and when I will need to fix it further. They are now my "go to" for automotive maintenance.
