Before I purchased the Groupon deal, I did some research on Sam's Automotive. I had to get an oil change and tire rotation, as one of the lug nuts was being a little difficult, so Sam came out and ask for some direction on how to move forward. I did appreciate Sam not taking liberties with my vehicle and that alone speaks volumes to me. I usually drive out to Woodbridge to have my car serviced, so I hope I found a place closer to home now.

Thanks to Sam to figure out that my check engine light was my old gas cap...not the $600 I have spent on other remedies that didn't fix the problem...I heard about them from a relative that had work done to pass her inspection at half the cost...It's great to have an honest and reliable place to service my car!

Very reasonable prices and work quality is good as well.
I used to take my car to VA Tire and auto but grew tired of their ever increasing prices. A friend referred me to Sam's autoshop as an alternative to VA Tire and Auto and I'm very happy that I made the switch.
I would recommend checking the place out. The shop owner is super friendly and easy to talk to as well.

I got my car repaired here because of damage caused by debris that was left on the road that smashed the underside of my car. After that damage occurred, my air-conditioning had stopped working. I explained to the owner and mechanic that I just wanted to get the air-conditioning working again. The mechanic checked over the car and told me that the damage from the debris extended to my radiator, air-conditioning system, and other parts under the hood, however, the damage to the non- air conditioning parts was not causing any mechanical problems. I was told that I needed to have a hose replaced to get the air-conditioning working again. I was given a fair quote, and the mechanics did an excellent job. I would recommend this place, and am going back for routine maintenances now as well.

My first visit will be my last, after my car drove normal there and ended up being towed. Besides the waiting area was clean and the owner Sam was nice, I can't say the same about one of his employee's Troy. My car received oil change and tire rotation, then was told a power steering hose needed to be replaced along with two others, a $490 bill. Knowing that already I planned on getting it done else where. My one year old and I were leaving and my power steering was completely shot and wasn't able to leave the shop. Coincidence that my car all of a sudden became un-drivable to leave the shop? I highly doubt it, after my boyfriend spoke with the owner and mechanic saying how it would be the right thing to make things right by working with us on the price the mechanic was defensive and said no until the owner said we can work something out. But after words and emotions I still wouldn't have felt comfortable taking my car back.
