I have used PR's Autohaus for service on my 1999 Porsche 911, my daughter's Honda Prelude, my son's Nissan 350Z, my wife's Lexus RX 330 and more recently for my 2000 BMW M5. The shop is clean and organized, and the staff is very talented. They were very thorough in their service and with explanation of the work performed. My cars run beautifully! I can recommend this shop with the utmost confidence in terms of the skill set and experience of the mechanics, timeliness of repairs done, and the extra mile that they go to make sure that the clientele is satisfied.

My car went into this shop for a diagnostic test. I got it back the next day. A week later I got two tickets in the mail for tinted window and registration . What is my car doing on the free way on Liberty Rd and 99. I confronted her and she apparently said she takes customers cars home for test drives all the time. She lives in Elk Grove. I guess she has no car to go home so she takes customers cars home. Lori also said that industry standard test drive is ten miles. Mind you that she lives in Elk Grove. Thats ten miles one way and ten miles coming back. Don't go to this place. There taking your car for a ride alright. Still not clear if Lori is a technician or mechanic. Hmmm but she does do test drives apparently.

Wow just wow, got quoted for an oil change on my BMW in the $200 range lol. Then went to another shop and got one for $65. Talk about money hungry.

An over-rated, very expensive auto repair shop. Their "master mechanics" basically only remove & replace parts. They are primarily concerned with how high they can run up your repair bill. Don't dare question them..they get all huffy and defensive .
If you want to pay 2 to 3 times higher than the "average" repair shop, then go to PR's.

I brought my C300 in for an oil change and routine yearly service based on a friends recommendation. Service was amazing, dropped me back off at home, picked me up when it was ready and washed and cleaned my car, thank you Lori and everyone there for taking care of me and my beautiful car!

I'm submitting this review on behalf of my friend. She is too nice to say anything, but I think folks should know, especially single women, what could happen if you take your car to PR's Autohaus.
Last Friday morning, my friend dropped off her mini to have a routine oil change. She specifically asked for an "Oil Change Only" on the phone and confirmed when she got to the shop that this is all she wanted. When she went to pick up the car after work, she was told that the total bill was $345. (An oil change for a mini is $145). When she told them that the bill was a mistake, they proceeded to explain that they had done all this extra work for her: change filters, windshield wipers, etc. She explained to them that she didn't ask for anything extra, ONLY an oil change. Twenty minutes and a lot of haggling later, they begrugingly took her $145.
To top it off, they told her that she had a leak in her power steering hose and that they'd be happy to fix it for $700. My friend is not a mechanic, but she did have her power steering hose replaced a few months ago by a different shop. The hose is brand new! Given the nature of the charges for a whole lot of work that wasn't requested (remember the $345?), she wonders about the honesty of this recommendation.
This morning (Monday) my friend still felt ill over the whole thing. Her budget is tight and she specifically set aside money FOR AN OIL CHANGE. All other maintenance is carefully planned and put into her budget; she leaves very little room for error.
My feeling is, what the hell?! She is a single woman, and unfortunately was working with another woman (at PR's) whom you would expect you could trust in situations like these. She was even referred to this place. I'm so disappointed. This is why I hate going to mechanics I don't know. If you have a European car, you would do well to look for a mechanic elsewhere. At the very least, be very diligent about looking over the bill when you get it and if they recommend service get a second opinion.

I've been doing business with PR's for years, and have always been completely satisfied with the work that they do. I have had Volvos serviced there exclusively.

I have to disagree with previous posts. I have an older BMW that runs great and I have only had to take it in a few times but each time I have had quick, friendly service. Their service area is full all the time so they wouldn't have so many customers if their service wasn't good. Yay, I'm a fan.

Worst experience ever with customer service, first off charged me $115 to change my oil haha. It's one bolt and a filter, come on now guys. Then my engine light comes on soon after. Hmm wonder why? They didn't even do any other kind of inspection. Most places at least have a quick 20 point inspection to cover their ass. You guys obviously don't know how to do that. Because I blame you for my engine light coming on. I was willing to pay whatever to get my car checked out top to bottom. All I'm asking is to plug in your OBD2 reader. 5 seconds of work, very reasonable considering the light came on soon after you touched my car. Thanks for nothing PR's, anybody who else has European vehicles. It's much more worth it to take it to the dealer, actually will get what you'll pay for. DO NOT take your car to this shop, as you can see by previous comments. This shop has no honesty or loyalty to good paying overcharged customers.
