Just had a smog done on my '05 Saab. Fast and friendly! No waiting area, but there are a couple great coffee shops about a block or two to the west. I didn't need them as the smog test was done in minutes while I was chatting with another customer. If you need anything done on your car, you need to at least check out Vic's.

I give this place a 5 stars because he always try to help as much as he can. He give you the best lowest prices. You really don't have to wait long for him to finish his work. Just depends on what your car really needs. A very nice guy and really knows what he's doing. I totally recommend you to give him a try.

I drove up from Southern California to purchase a car. The seller had previously done an inspection and gave me a copy. I thought it would be a good idea to get a second inspection done. I Stumbled across Vic online, and he ended up saving me quite a bit of money. He spent two hours looking over everything on the car and it turned out there was over $2000 in repairs which needed to be done. I would've come out of pocket for that dollar amount if it wasn't for Vic. I wish he was closer so I could use him all the time, but I thought the least I could do was post a positive review for him. Thank you Vic!!!

Complete smog check and certificate for $28 flat with the coupon from the Monterey Weekly. Fast, friendly service provided by Vic. Complimentary safety inspection was also helpful. I would recommend to anyone in the Salinas area.

Took my truck in for a transmission service and a 1-2 shuttle shift Vic was super helpful competent mechanic. Had my truck done fast and no more problems! The shop is clean and organized I would defiantly recommend the shop

Our transmission went in our 1982 Volkswagon Van in Salinas on our way to Washington. We feel so fortunate to have found Vic's Garage. The work was done in a short time. Vic had us on the road again very quickly with a new transmission and clutch for a very reasonable cost. If Vic's was in our area we would take our cars to him and refer his shop to all our friends.

I can't praise them enough! Our car has been overheating and we went here to check out the electrical for our cooling system because it was our best guess for what was wrong. He quoted us $90 for the diagnostic which was what we had seen elsewhere, so a very reasonable price. He checked everything thoroughly and found it all working well. He suggested it might be an intermittent problem and to come in as soon as it starts overheating again. Even though he'd spent the time inspecting everything, he didn't charge us anything! He said that he hadn't helped us fix the problem so he wouldn't charge us. I don't know another mechanic that's as honest or provides that level of complimentary service.
